Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Author : Caleb May 14,2025

Attention, all Sims enthusiasts! Brace yourselves because the notorious Burglar is making a comeback in The Sims 4 with the latest update. Meet Robin Banks, the familiar face from the older Sims games, who's ready to sneak into your virtual homes. This update is now available on both PC and console, so make sure to secure your valuables, as she tends to strike under the cover of night, especially when your Sims are sound asleep. However, don't let your guard down completely—Robin has been known to attempt some bold daylight heists as well.

To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, rest assured the police will arrive promptly to arrest her and retrieve your stolen items. But fear not if you don't have an alarm; a quick call to the police can still save the day. Or, if you're feeling brave, you can opt for some vigilante justice. The choice is yours!

The Burglar is finally in The Sims 4, over 10 years after it came out. Image credit: EA.The Burglar's return to The Sims 4 comes over a decade after the game's initial release. While these events are relatively rare by design, thrill-seekers can activate the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc to increase their chances of a visit from Robin Banks.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," announced The Sims team. "A heartfelt thank you to our entire team for making this happen. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s ready to steal your hearts as well! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We can't wait to see the chaos Robin will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old and the franchise celebrating its 25th anniversary, the game continues to thrive. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players as a premium game. However, after going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players initially and reaching a total of 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5. Plum!
