Elden Ring: Nightreign New Ranged Class Revealed

Elden Ring: Nightreign introduces an exciting new ranged class, the Ironeye, just ahead of its eagerly awaited release in May. Dive deeper to learn more about this sniper-focused class that promises to redefine ranged combat!

Nightreign Reveals 6th Class, Ironeye

A Deadly Ranged Sniper

The highly anticipated Elden Ring: Nightreign has unveiled a new class known as the Ironeye, set to launch in May. This sniper class brings a fresh perspective to ranged combat, emphasizing swiftness and dexterity. The character trailer offers a glimpse into its dynamic gameplay, featuring a colossal bow and arrow setup alongside the ability to scale walls for strategic mid-air assaults. The introduction of a new aiming system aims to enhance the precision of headshots, making ranged combat more effective. Remarkably, the Ironeye can even execute a riposte move, striking an enemy directly in the heart with an arrow.

During the Nightreign closed network test last February, players got a taste of four out of the eight playable classes: the versatile Wylder, the sturdy Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the spell-casting Recluse. With the Ironeye marking the sixth class, fans are buzzing with anticipation, hoping FromSoftware might unveil the remaining two classes later this month as Nightreign's release approaches.

The array of quality-of-life enhancements, including the advanced aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that similar improvements might find their way into the original Elden Ring, potentially revitalizing the use of bows as primary weapons. In the past, as discussed on platforms like Reddit, bows have often been overshadowed by the dominance of melee combat in Elden Ring. However, with the Ironeye's demonstration of the lethal potential of bows and arrows, more players might be inclined to experiment with a ranged build in Nightreign.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, is set to launch on May 30th, 2025, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S for $39.99. For a deeper dive into the game, be sure to visit Game8’s comprehensive article!
