MindsEye developer Build A Rocket Boy has unveiled a new trailer for the game, confirmed its price of $59.99, and detailed the launch content players can anticipate.
Under the leadership of former Rockstar North veteran Leslie Benzies, Build A Rocket Boy has announced that MindsEye will launch on June 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Here’s the official description:
Set in the near-futuristic metropolis of Redrock, MindsEye offers a meticulously designed linear story campaign. Players take on the role of Jacob Diaz, an ex-soldier tormented by fragmented memories from his enigmatic MindsEye neural implant, as he unravels a conspiracy involving rogue AI, corporate corruption, a renegade military, and a grave threat that could mean the end of humanity. The game's narrative is powered by cutting-edge visuals developed with Unreal Engine 5.
Another compelling feature is MindsEye’s PC-exclusive game creation system, enabling players to design their own experiences using assets from the game.
According to the studio, the $59.99 price represents “a welcome shift from the typical $70–$80 price range for AAA games.” But what exactly does that $60 get you?
At launch, players will get access to the “tightly crafted linear story campaign,” a “single-player free roam” mode, and several additional missions—including the horde-style “Destruction Site Shootout,” plus two combat missions titled “Honor Among Thieves” and “Friendly Fire.” The game also launches with six standard races, six checkpoint races, and three drone races. Premium Pass holders receive an additional horde mission and an exotic cosmetics pack.
Video game pricing remains a hot-button issue across the industry, especially after Nintendo raised the price of Mario Kart World to $80 and Microsoft announced plans to hit the same price point this holiday season. Other major publishers are expected to follow suit, with titles like Gearbox’s Borderlands 4 already sparking debate following controversial remarks from Randy Pitchford.
Meanwhile, several mid-tier titles have seen remarkable success at the $50 price point, such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. 2K’s upcoming Mafia: The Old Country is also set to retail for $50. MindsEye appears to be positioning itself in a middle ground between these pricing tiers.

That covers the launch lineup—but what about post-release support? Build A Rocket Boy has promised a “steady flow” of new premium content each month, “making MindsEye a dynamic, ever-evolving experience.” This includes new missions, challenges, and in-game assets. “With a mix of professionally developed content and standout player creations, MindsEye will keep surprising and engaging its community for years to come,” the studio added.
Build A Rocket Boy also shared its 2025 content roadmap. Summer will bring community updates and new missions, fall introduces new single-player modes, multiplayer features, and additional missions, and winter brings free roam updates and more missions. Premium Pass subscribers gain access to extra missions and exclusive packs throughout the year.
