Defeating Faithwight Magileto in Metaphor: ReFantazio - Tips and Strategies

Quick Links

In Metaphor: ReFantazio, each dungeon presents formidable foes akin to mini-bosses that you'll encounter before reaching the main boss. These enemies often appear red in the overworld Fairy Sight, indicating a challenging Squad combat scenario, even if you've been grinding for XP.

One such daunting adversary is the Faithwight Magileto, located in the Spire Of Blind Faith. This enemy is notoriously tough early in the game, necessitating a near-perfect strategy and a bit of luck to defeat.

The Faithwight Magileto is a level 50 enemy capable of spawning additional level 50 enemies, making it unwise to engage below level 45. They wield potent dark and light magic, targeting either individual characters or the entire party. Their arsenal includes Megidolaon, a devastating spell that inflicts massive damage across the board. Additionally, they benefit from passive buffs that amplify the damage of their dark, light, and Megidolaon attacks. Faithwight Magiletos can also utilize Soul Scream to gain four Press Turn icons in a turn, and they have the ability to summon additional level 50 skeletons to bolster their forces.

These summoned skeletons come equipped with powerful slashing attacks and dark magic, along with significant buffs and one of the game's most effective healing spells, which they can use to restore the Faithwight Magileto to full health. Like their master, these minions are weak to Strike attacks, making focused Strike damage crucial for victory.

How To Beat Faithwight Magileto In Metaphor: ReFantazio

Defeating the Faithwight Magileto is a formidable challenge, even at level 50, and nearly impossible at lower levels. To prepare for this battle, consider the following:

  • Equip Dark Dodge from the Magic Knight.
  • Acquire Light Dodge from the Healer Archetype.
  • Inherit Strike skills from the Brawler Archetype.
  • Utilize the Warlock Archetype, which resists both Dark and Light damage.
  • Employ the Thief Archetype, which resists Dark damage.
  • Carry Tetrabreak to counter summoned enemies using Tetrakarn.

Your choice of Archetypes isn't as critical as ensuring you cover the above points and avoid weaknesses to Dark, Light, or Slash. If you have access to multiple Archetypes and can use Skill Inheritance, prioritize Strength-heavy Archetypes. Ensure at least two party members have party-wide healing spells, and equip everyone with a Strike Attack to maximize Press Turn Icons while managing the health loss from these skills.

This battle hinges on luck, as consecutive Megidolaons can be nearly impossible to withstand. Equipping most party members with Dark and Light dodge can help mitigate damage and end the enemy's turn more quickly. If the Faithwight Magileto summons allies, prioritize eliminating them swiftly before they can deploy their healing magic. Bringing the Dekaja skill can dispel buffs from summoned enemies, but your primary goal each turn should be to execute at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells.
