"Verdansk Boosts Warzone, Developers Confirm Its Stay"

It's safe to say that Verdansk is injecting fresh energy into Call of Duty: Warzone, and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Just when the online community had written off Activision's battle royale as "cooked" after five years, the nostalgia-packed return of Verdansk has flipped the script. Now, the buzz is that Warzone is "back." Sure, Activision did nuke Verdansk in the storyline, but that hasn't stopped both lapsed players, who cherished Warzone during their lockdown days, and loyalists who've weathered the game's ups and downs over the past five years from flocking back to the map that kicked it all off. These seasoned players are even saying that Warzone feels more enjoyable now than at any point since its explosive launch in 2020.

This return to the roots in gameplay was a strategic choice by developers Raven and Beenox.
