Cyberpunk 2077 receives a significant update (2.21) from CD Projekt RED, incorporating cutting-edge NVIDIA technology alongside bug fixes. A key addition is DLSS 4 support, boosting frame rates, particularly for GeForce RTX 50 series card users, starting January 30th. DLSS 4 also enhances performance on RTX 40 series cards, generating extra frames while optimizing memory usage.
All GeForce RTX cards now offer a choice between the convolutional neural network and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model delivers superior image quality with improved lighting, detail, and stability.
This update resolves several issues: in-game screen glitches and crashes associated with DLSS ray reconstruction are fixed; the "Frame Creation" parameter now functions correctly after disabling resolution scaling; communication problems with certain vendors are addressed; missing or low-volume TV news audio is corrected; Johnny's passenger seat appearances are normalized; disappearing items when hiding NPCs are restored; game freezes during simultaneous photo mode and storage access are eliminated; and Photo Mode now allows placement of Nibbles and Adam Smasher even when Vee is in water or mid-air. Finally, Adam Smasher's facial expression adjustments have been refined.
